Tis The Season + The Reason

Monday, 25 December 2017

Hey, y'all. It's been a long while. As I'm typing this it's Christmas Eve, but when you're reading it, it's Christmas Day. Oh my goodness gracious, Merry Christmas. What an exciting day it is! I have been so excited for Christmas this year and it's finally here!!

As much I love Christmas for the gift giving, gift recieving, turkey dinner, and best of all, pigs in blankets, what tops off this special day, is the reason for this very special season..... Jesus. Jesus is the so amazing, and He is to be celebrated on this day!

"So the Word became human and made his home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father's one and only Son." - John 1:14

I'm not only thankful for the birth Jesus, but I am in awe, and have so much love for how much love He has for us, and what sacrifice He took upon Himself FOR US. He died for us so we may have eternal life, and for our sins.

In Romans 5:8 it says, "God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us".  You see, we are sinners everyday, we always will be, but God, and our Saviour Jesus love us still. How amazing is that, y'all?! Holy moly.... we have an awesome God, who gave his one and only Son up for us so we may spend the rest of our lives in eternity with them! So. Much. Love.

I am so looking forward to Christmas day because not only am I able to wear cute Christmas themed pyjamas all day, but theres going to be great food, amazing company, many Christmas films, maybe too much chocolate (is there ever?), but most of all, an amazing spirit!

So this Christmas Day, if you're able or want to, take some time away from the TV, get a blanket and some coffee, and instead of cracking open the Quality Street, crack open the Bible, and learn the real reason of this special season, and witness how amazing God, and Christ truly are. I promise you, you will not regret spending time with the Lord, because time with the Lord is time well spent.

Have an amazing Christmas Day. I hope it is filled with fun, good food, laughter and happiness. I pray that this day is good to you. And, if this Christmas season isn't too jolly, or you are missing someone close to your heart, I pray that this day shines some light, and you know that you are so loved. "The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it" - John 1:5

Remember, there is no 'Christmas' without CHRIST.
