I was so intrigued to try out this product as I really haven't got a good facial cream, and shameful enough, I hardly even use a facial cream. I know, sue me. I was so surprised to be chosen to review this product as truth be known I never ever get chosen to do anything. Seriously, my luck is like -2 out of 100.
The product arrived to me super quickly which I was so happy about, and the first thing which I think everyone notices first about a product is the packaging. Now I know packaging isn't important but I absolutely love the packaging of this product. It is so cute and pink. You know me, I love pink. The jar is glass, which I love as I think it gives it a more high end feel. The jar looks gorgeous resting on your dressing table, and I don't want to hide it away.
So now onto the actual product. The product is Vitamin E based, and is a hydrating product. The texture of this product is very creamy and light, it's not thick so it won't clog up your pores. I love the fact that this cream is light as my skin is prone to getting clogged up and I do have the odd mountain spot every once in a while. I know that this cream will be gentle to my skin, and since using this cream every morning and night I have seen a noticeable difference in my skin. The product sinks in extremely quickly, so you don't have to wait around for your skin to dry before applying any make up.
This facial cream makes an incredible make up base, I always apply this cream on a freshly washed face before I apply my make up. It is so important to have clean skin before applying make up as all the bacteria and dirt from where you have gotten hot during the night (I know gross, but true) has gotten into your pores which will cause break outs and black heads. I find that my make up lasts all day, and doesn't travel down my face and wipe away. I always had trouble with my make up coming off, but since buying new make up and using this facial cream my make up troubles are no more!
My skin feels 10x more hydrated than it has in a very long while. I started to get incredibly dry skin on my nose, but after I first applied this facial cream I could notice that the dryness on my nose was fading away incredibly fast, and all hydration was put back into my skin. Obviously, as this cream has Vitamin E in it too, it is really good for your skin and will help restore all of you skin needs.
Overall, I highly recommend this product to all you The Body Shop lovers. If you're new to The Body Shop this would be a brilliant product to get you started as you will absolutely love this product. I know I do, and I know I won't be going back to any other facial cream.
This product is now in all The Body Shop stores, so you need to go out a purchase this cream right now as you really won't be disappointed. The facial cream is priced at £12 which really is cheap for something that works so, so well. I know that I will be buying it again after I finish this pot up!
