Hello Lovelies!
Today I thought it would be a good idea to do a quick post as I have some free time from my revision sessions, so lets get on with it!
I love MUA's products, especially their eye-shadows. All of the shades they create are pretty and look good on the eye, and they are good quality products at cheap and affordable prices! This palette is called the 'Undressed Palette' and is sometimes compared to the Urban Decay Naked Palette because of the similar shades. The palette has twelve natural shades that you can mix n' match together to create different shadow styles. These styles can go from elegant and soft, to bold and eye catching.
The palette also includes a eye-shadow applicator brush. I tend not to use these as they do not apply the eye-shadow very well, and also the sponges come off very easily after washing. The eye-shadow brush that I use is the EcoTools Bamboo Eye Shadow Brush which retails at £5.49. I love the EcoTools eye-shadow brushes, they are ridiculously soft; they feel like a babies bottom, but on your eyes - weird, and apply eye-shadow very well. If you do not own a nice eye-shadow brush, and are looking for good quality, defiantly by the EcoTools brush. You will not be disappointed!
This eye-shadow shadow retails at £4.50. I think this is a very good price for a good quality product.
Although I have said that this palette is good quality, which it is, there are still some downfalls with it. The eye-shadow palette is very nice, and the shades are lovely, but they eye-shadow does not stay on all day. By the end of the day, nearly all of the eye-shadow has disappeared from my eyes, and I am looking for a palette that will last on my eyes all day. If you are young and wanting to start experimenting with make up, by all means this would be for you as it is affordable, but if you are older, like myself you want to have something that would last all day.
This palette is very good if you are wearing some eye-shadow to school, as it does not really matter whether it comes off - if that is you, but if you are going out for the day or going to work/school and are concerned about your eye make-up coming off, this probably isn't the most fabulous palette.
I have not bought and experimented with the Urban Decay Palette, but I have heard very good reviews about it, also including that it lasts all day. The retailing price for the Naked Palette is £36, which is very expensive, but apparently worth it. So I may have to save my pennies and invest in this palette.
In conclusion of this review, I think that the MUA 'Undressed' palette is quite good and very affordable, if you are young and experimenting with make up, but if you are older and looking for a long lasting eye-shadow palette, I wouldn't recommend this product. At £4.50, this palette will not be as high standard and quality as something like the Naked palette retailing at £36, but for beginners, this is a good start.
This review today has been slightly good and bad, but like I said every review I do is 100% my own opinion. Some people may disagree with this post as they may think that this palette is fabulous, but for me this palette is ok, but not the best.
I hope you enjoyed this post, and I shall be writing to you again soon.
